Welcome to The Globetrotters Inn (www.theglobetrottersinn.com). By making a reservation with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

1. Booking and Payment Policy

Advance Payment: To secure your reservation, 100% of the total booking amount must be paid in advance.
Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer or credit card. Your booking is only confirmed once the full payment has been successfully received and processed.
Tourist Tax (Taxa Municipal Turística): Please note that local municipal tourist taxes are included in the room rate. This tax is typically charged per person, per night.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Strictly Non-Refundable: All bookings are strictly non-refundable. Cancellations, modifications, or no-shows will result in a 100% charge of the total booking amount.
Early Departures: No refunds will be issued for early departures or shortened stays after check-in has occurred. We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected trip cancellations.

3. Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you expect to arrive outside of these hours, please contact us in advance. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed by our staff.
Check-out: Until 11:00 AM. Late check-outs must be requested in advance and are subject to availability and additional fees.
Identification Requirement: In compliance with Portuguese law (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras / AIMA), all guests, including children, must present a valid passport or national ID card upon check-in. We are legally required to record and submit guest details.

4. Breakfast Service

Hours: Breakfast is served daily from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the designated dining area.

5. House Rules and Guest Behavior

Silence Hours: To ensure a restful environment for all guests, strict quiet hours are enforced between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
Smoking Policy: The Globetrotters Inn is a 100% smoke-free property indoors. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas (if applicable). A cleaning fee will be charged to any guest found smoking inside the rooms.
Visitors and Parties: For security reasons, only registered guests are allowed on the property. Parties, events, and unregistered overnight visitors are strictly prohibited.
Pets: Pets are not allowed on the premises unless explicitly agreed upon prior to booking (excluding certified service animals).

6. Damages and Lost Keys Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room, furnishings, or property by themselves or their companions. The Globetrotters Inn reserves the right to charge the guest’s credit card for the cost of repairs, replacement, or deep cleaning. A fee will be applied for any lost room keys to cover the cost of lock replacement.

7. Liability The Globetrotters Inn is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of guests’ personal belongings, valuables, or vehicles during their stay. Guests are advised to keep their rooms locked and valuables secured.

8. Force Majeure The Globetrotters Inn accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of our obligations is prevented or affected by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, fire, or government restrictions.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction These terms and conditions, and any bookings made with us, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising out of this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
